Objectives of the Course
Development of writing skills in Turkish and recognition of written texts according to their genres and teaching relations between texts. Teaching the creation of texts appropriate to the types of written expression. Written expression to teach the realization of internal and external building elements in an accurate and competent manner. Introduction of written texts in Turkish and learning to make texts. Correct use of language in written expression and detection of mistakes that cause expression disorders. Teaching how to recognize impaired speech. All correspondence texts (petitions, minutes, etc.) are taught.

Course Contents
Basic characteristics of written language and written communication, basic differences between written language and oral language. Lecture: written and oral expression; subjective expression, objective expression; paragraph; paragraph types (introduction-development-conclusion paragraphs). Definition of text and text types (informative texts, literary texts); textual conditions (cohesion, coherence, purposefulness, acceptability, situationality, informationalism, intertextual relations). Written expression (written composition: free writing, planned writing); planned writing stages (subject, limitation of subject, aim, point of view, determination of main and side thoughts, preparation of writing plan, layout of paper); theoretical information on informative texts (petition, letter, news, decision, advertisement / advertisement, minutes, reports, official writings, scientific writings); working on examples and writing applications; summarizing and drawing a text; correcting language and expression mistakes in written applications.
