Objectives of the Course
This course is planned to aid students in comprehending artistic language factors in fundamental concepts of art by experiencing, researching and applying; analyzing and criticizing art works, and developing creative modes of thinking. It also aims to guide students to research, provide creative solutions to design and art issues, ensure interaction between the arts, bridge life and art, think in abstract concepts, develop the ability to comprehend the relationship between theory and practice, make sure ideas are carried out with different tools and materials, be able to design the future by evaluating the past, be able to question set in art and design concepts, be able to expand the boundaries of their own discipline, and be creative individuals who are mindful of conditions such as aesthetic.

Learning Outcomes
1To develop a knowledgeable terminology relating to art and design.
2To develop a useful quality and meaning in art in a historical and contemporary manner.
3Teach the definition of color, light and pigment colors, primary and secondary colors, hot and cold colors, and complimentary colors.
4To research the possibilities of using color as a component of visual expression.
5To ensure students analyze and research the manner in which the pieces that make up a whole are organized as an entirety which is dependent on substantial components.
6To make sure students comprehend the necessity of functionality, that they gain the required knowledge to design the whole made up of pieces and the skills required to realize this design.
7To ensure they gain the necessary knowledge and skills regarding associating factors of line, dot, stain, texture, and form with color.
8To make sure students attain the skills and interests to produce meaning-function, discipline and organization of value and element phenomenon of visual styling.

Materials used in plastic art and components creating third dimensions in two dimensions; color; definition of color; primary colors, primary secondary colors, secondary colors, color scale, color psychology, color-form relationship, color-function relationship, color contrasts, competing contrast, simultaneous contrast, hot-cold contrast, portion contrast.

1Analyzing the historical course of color. The properties of color, tone, value, density (intensity), completing colors, primary, secondary, opposite and neutral colors.
2Seven color scale. Carrying colors from light and dark by enhancing a unit. Bristol 35x50cm.

4Inorganic object composition with cold colors. Bristol 50x70cm.
5Abstract color composition based on organic-inorganic object compositions. Bristol 50x70cm.
6Op Art Work (abstract composition) on two 25x25cm canvases.
7Colored texture composition. Bristol 50x70cm.
8Colored texture composition. Bristol 50x70cm.
9Colored collage composition. Bristol 50x70cm.
10Selection of compositions using the framing method from ready-made colored images (photograph, magazines, etc.). Positioning the studied organic or inorganic object into the selected composition through colored drawing. Bristol 50x70cm.

12Color conversion from nature forms to art forms (metamorphosis, deformation), Bristol, 50x70 cm.
13Thematic studies in free technique.
