Objectives of the Course |
To transfer the importance of drawing language-design which is considered the fundamentals of academic art education. To gain the ability to transfer extra dimensional comprehension on a two dimensional plane with time, again through the effect of the dimensions it has. To grasp fundamental elements such as the model’s anatomic structure, ratios, composition, figure-space relationship, entirety while doing this with applied study and artist examples. |

Distinguishing the equivalents of pictorial terminology such as figure, object, texture, nature mort and researching the differences they have within each other using drawing language. |

1 | Information is given on composition, use of paper, and ratio and proportion. Drawing from a live model. | | | 2 | Proportion is analyzed with joined movements of eye, hand and thought in drawing practice. By observing drawing ability in ratio use, the student’s personal statement is accentuated. | | | 3 | Exploratory lines, contour lines, line toning is discussed. Drawing from a live model. The study which was given the previous week is criticized. | | | 4 | The relationship between volume, light, medium, dark and intermediary values, fullness and emptiness, part-whole is questioned in drawing language.
