Objectives of the Course
To have knowledge about the basic elements and concepts of artistic design. Researching elements in terms of their sensory effects and applying them effectively in original designs. To be able to distinguish the formal features of two-dimensional designs. To learn form terminology. To gain the ability to bring elements together in a whole.

1To be able to design, develop projects, apply and present sketch-model designs.
2To develop the ‘work-thought’ process, in order to deliver a product.
3To be able to select materials during application, to create a system, to comprehend the possibilities that the material provides, to develop the best possible methods in applying the material to its purpose, to be able to use materials in an efficient and productive manner.

Course Contents
The content of the course consists of defining dot, line, shape, form, texture, value and color elements, investigating sensory effects with practices, and using composition principles such as integrity, balance, contrast, harmony and diversity in two-dimensional designs correctly and appropriately.
