• to teach basic concepts of the research techniques • to realize of students the importance in terms of nursing of research • to equip students with the knowledge and skills of research process, research design, data analysis methods and the preparing research report.

• Definition and objectives of course, nursing discipline, science and research, • basic concepts (science, scientific method, research, epidemiology, technique, scientific approach, etc); • importance in terms of nursing of research, • ethic principles in nursing researchs, • research process (reviewing the literature, hypothesis, identifying the subject of research, write the title of research etc.) • research design (quantitative, qualitative) • sampling in research, • data collection methods, • techniques and tolls, • qualitative of data collection tolls, • statistical methods most frequently used in the nursing research, • preparing a research report
