Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is • to provide the students with the knowledge of basic principles of first aid • to teach the aim of first aid • to equip the students with the knowledge of the features of first aid • to enable students to become aware of the priorities in first aid • to enable students to become aware of the role of a nurse in case of a natural disaster

• The history, importance, objectives of the first aid • The role of a nurse in case of a natural disaster • Basic principles, objectives and features of first aid • First aid in case of shock and bleeding • Basic life support • First aid in case breathing stops • First aid in case of burns • First aid in case of heat stroke and hypothermia • First aid in case of drowning • First aid in case of a broken bone, dislocation or sprain • First aid in case of trauma • First aid in case of poisoning • First aid in case of beats or stings • Earthquake and first aid • Civil defense and first aid in case of nuclear spread
