Objectives of the Course
Students will study and define concepts related to religious education in the field of religious education, science, objectives and tasks of recognition of religious theories of development and learning relationship to understand the history of religious education in Turkey development and to be knowledgeable about the legal basis, program development and religious education aims to be informed about teacher competencies and approaches and to discuss current issues of religious education.

The field, purpose and duties of the science of religious education. The historical development of religious education in Turkey. The legal basis of religious education in Turkey. Religious development and learning. Curriculum development and approaches in religious education. Religion lesson teacher competencies and education. Religious education in the family. Vocational religious education and Imam Hatip High Schools, Religious Affairs Directorate, Religious education and religious services. Adult religious education, higher religious education, current problems of religious education and teaching.
