Objectives of the Course
The purpose of the course is to refer the concept of social stratification in sociology and the other social sciences to a hierarchical order and division of power and welfare within the society and the individuals’ position in this division. It also explains the concept of class that has a socio-economic content and its foundation on the different appearances of the socio-economic conditions on the basis of economic, social, political and ideological inequalities or differences. The course also designs that social stratification may also be an indicator of prevalence of certain problems in the society.
