11. On competing this course the student will; 1. Have information on traditional and contemporary concepts of art.
2Learn about contemporary and current art events.
3Learn historical, philosophical, sociological, anthropological background knowledge on art.
4Learn about the relations of form, medium and language in arts.
5Learn about interdisciplinary relations in arts.
6Be able to analyze artwork.

Course Contents
1.Modern art movements from the second half of 20th century to today will be adressed in the following form: 2.Minimalism, Fluxus,Arte Povera, Photorealism, Land Art, Body Art, Feminist Art Kinetic Art, Digital Art and Internet art will be investigated. 3.Cultural and interdisciplinary aspects of event and art movements with postmodernist orientation will be examined. 4.Theoretical studies and research on today?s arts? search for language, material/medium and form will be done, various works
