To analyze and evaluate basic concepts of philosophy of education, relations of education and philosophy, generic characteristics of educational philosophy, philosophies based on national educational system.

Course Contents
Relationship of philosophy and education; definition of educational philosophy, basic philosophical theories that effect education (idealism, realism, pragmatism and existentialism), theories of educational philosophy (prennialism, essentialism, progressivism, reconstructionism, existentialism, constructivism), the affect of educational philosophy theories to educational system of Turkish Republic, educational philosophy and contemporary educational systems.
