1Acquire the fundamental knowledge (classification, rules, terms) of track and fields
2Demonstrate an understanding and an application of the mechanics of the field events of high jumping, long jumping and triple jumping.
3Demonstrate an understanding and an application of the mechanics of the field events of shot putting, discus and javelin throwing
4Demonstrate an understanding and an application of the mechanics of sprinting, middle, and distance running events.

Course Contents
This course is designed to improve athletic skills, including speed development, hopping, throwing, and running though the study of and participating in track and field events, specifically the high jump, long jump, triple jump, hurdles, pole vault, shot put, discus, sprints, and relays.
