Conceptual framework: Character, personality, value, virtue, morality, temper, temperament etc. Definition and classification of values. Sources of values and their individual, social, cultural, religious and moral foundations. Character and values education approaches and applications. Values education in early childhood. Values in primary and secondary education programs. Hidden curriculum and values. Intercultural differentiation and cultural coexistence in character and values education. Philoshopy of education and chracter and values education. Teaching methods and techniques in character / values education. Examples of values education in the history of Turkish education and culture. Values education practices and researches in Turkey. Teacher as a role model in character and values education.
