The aim of this lesson: to explain E.C.E. and its importance, to indicate the timeline of E.C.E development and to introduce E.C.E institutions.

At the end of this lesson, the teacher candidate; -explains E.C.E and 0-6 childrens characteristics and needs - compares the timeline of E.C.E development in the world -knows the individual and educational characteristics of an ideal E.C.E teacher - recognize the types of E.C.E institutions -is aware of the importance of families in E.C.E
