Objectives of the Course
The main objective of this course is to have students develop a good understanding about the mathematical concepts mentioned in the Contents of the Course section.
Name of Lecturer(s)
Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Tolga AKTÜRK
Learning Outcomes
1Know the axioms of real number system.
2Know basic function types and their graphs.
3İnterpret the definition of limit and continuity bot algebraically and graphically, and also state their difference.
4Use the concepts of limit and continuity in mathematical problem situations.
5State the different interpratations of the derivative concept (rate of change, slope of the tangent line) and use derivative in optimization problems.
6Relate the signs of first- and second-order derivatives of a function with the increasing/decreasing and concave downwards/concave upwards characteristics of its graph.
7Construct the rational numbers and some irrational numbers on the number line with Euclidean methods.
