To enable the student to comprehend the foundations of mathematics, provide basic definitions, facts and tools necessary for his further studies in mathematics.

2Knows the mathematical methods of proofs and uses them in the proofs of some propositions

5Knows the definition of function, describes the concepts of injective, surjective, inverse and composite functions and gives examples concerning these concepts
