Course Contents

Anatolia before development of the first mausoleums and shrines in Turks , perception and death ceremonies , the Seljuks in Anatolia and the mausoleums, plan and decorative features of the Seljuk tombs , elements and change process, tombs and death-life perception of spatial design, interior design effect.

2	Islamic architecture, the first tombs and their properties (with visual material).
3	Turks in Anatolia before the tomb architecture, depending on geography and building material the use of varying types of material, the effect of spatial integrity of the material used in tombs
4	Typology of Anatolian Seljuq tombs and examination of specific examples
5	Cubic body tombs (with visual material, examination of specific examples)
6	Cubic body tombs (with visual material, examination of specific examples)
7	Polygonal body tombs (with visual material, examination of specific examples).
8	Midterm exam
