Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to introduce the Ottonian, Pre-Romanesque and Romanesque art.

Learning Outcomes
1Student acquires the terminology and basic knowledge of Romanesque architecture which is the basis of European art.
2Student recognizes the types and characteristics of church buildings that were introduced in this period.
3Student can make comparative evaluations about the process of the architectural development thanks to the information given during the semester.
4Student learns the features of Romanesque period painting and sculpture and knows the examples.
5The student learns the historical geography and socio-cultural structure of Medieval Europe.
