Objectives of the Course
This course aims at providing students the knowledge of the basic concepts, principles and types of poetry and the ability to analyse poems structurally and thematically. To this end, this course encourages students to evaluate poems from different cultures in terms of literary design, social, cultural, political, and literary values of the periods in which they were produced, and to have inclination for further readings and research.
