1Student will be able to describe the history of English theatre between 19th century and 1960.
2Students will be able to define the general characteristics of English theatre between 19th century and 1960.
3Students will be able to analyse the English Drama between 19th Century and 1960 in the the historical and social context of the period.
4Students will be able to define the dramatic movements of the period, such as absurd drama, comedy of manners, comedy of menace.
5Students will be able to define the technical and thematic characteristics of English and Irish theatre.
