Objectives of the Course
The aim of English education in preparatory classes is generally to teach students the basic rules of grammar, enhance their English vocabulary, and equip them with fundamental academic skills to comprehend what they hear and read and express their thoughts in written and oral form. Additionally, the objective is to bring students to a level where they can follow more advanced academic programs, in particular English literature in the context of this university. During this period, students are taken to a level where they can better understand, use, and communicate in English, enabling them to be successful in their daily and academic lives. An interactive and participatory learning environment is provided to strengthen students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. English preparatory classes also contribute to students' cultural awareness and global perspectives while helping them understand and use the English language. The goal is to provide students with basic English knowledge, preparing them for university or advanced education programs where they can further develop their language skills. In summary, English education in preparatory classes is a fundamental step to equip students with basic language skills and prepare them for more advanced language use.

Learning Outcomes
1Students will engage in simple daily conversations and use appropriate words when speaking on different topics. They will speak with a clear and understandable pronunciation. They will utilize basic language grammar structures in oral communication.
2Students will develop the skill of comprehending the texts they read and listen to, and they can respond to questions related to those texts.
3Students will comprehend various types of written texts, extract key information, and understand the main ideas and details
4Students will produce well-structured and coherent pieces of writing in English, including essays, reports, and academic papers.

Course Contents
Reading Course The purpose of the reading course is to enable students to comprehend and interpret English written texts, newspaper and magazine articles, and scientific papers. At the end of each reading passage, there are comprehension questions, true-false exercises, and a discussion section to enhance students' foreign language usage skills. Through this course, students will develop the ability to analyze, understand, and interpret sources that they can benefit from in their academic studies more easily. Writing Course The writing course guides students to express their emotions and thoughts in a planned manner, using standard composition format, adhering to grammar rules, and employing correct punctuation marks. Grammar/Main Course In the grammar course, students learn the basic grammar rules of English, phonetics, word and sentence structures, and various uses of tenses through explanations, examples, and reinforcing exercises. Listening and Speaking Course Through this course, students will acquire the ability to communicate themselves, express their feelings and thoughts, and convey messages to others in a comfortable and fluent manner.
