| The aim of this course is to perform the Turkish Classical Music works considering all of their properties.

| 1 | Acquiring the performance techniques for the works composed in Turkish Classical Music. | | 2 | Gaining information on Turkish Classical Music genres and being able to perform them considering their stylistic properties. | | 3 | To be able to apply the theoretical knowledge of intervals, makam (mode) and usul (rhythm) in Turkish Classical Music. | | 4 | Studying the differences between traditional and contemporary performance styles and forming a synthesis considering the novelties and problems. | | 5 | Realizing the importance of harmony between vocal and instrumental elements while performing Turkish Classical Music. | | 6 | Translating the lyrics written in Ottoman Turkish to Contemporary Turkish Language and emphasizing the importance of the meanings of the lyrics in vocal Works. | | 7 | Acquiring the necessary skills to perform Turkish Classical Music in both national and international activities with professional and ethical awareness. |
