| Objectives of the Course |
| The aim of the course is
• to give the students basic information about organization and trade unions,
• to give the students basic information about collective labour law,
• to teach trade union rights and freedoms,
• to teach establishment of trade unions,
• to teach membership of trade unions and functions of trade unions,
• to teach trade union practices in Turkey.

Week 1 The concept of trade union, the right to form trade unions and associations.
Week 2 Elements of the trade union, trade union rights and freedoms, the concept of superior organşization
Week 3 Establishment principles of trade unions; work area and service area unionism in terms of workers and public servants trade unions
Week 4 The qualification of the founders of the trade unions
Week 5 The procedures are followed the establishment of trade union
Week 6 Regulations of trade unions and confederations, bodies of trade unions; formation of the general assembly, gathering, the principles applied to the meetings
Week 7 The mandatory organs of the trade unions other than the general assembly
Week 8 Midterm Exam
Week 9 Union membership, membership conditions of workers and public official trade unions, prohibition of members
Week 10 Acquisition of trade union membership, the rights and obligations, suspension of membership ve termination of membership.
Week 11 Trade unions become member to confederation and international organizations
Week 12 Unionist guarantee (assurange); management assurance, assurance of workplace union representation
Week 13 Legal and prohibited activities of trade unions
Week 14 Control of trade unions
Week 15 The end of trade unions and confederations
