Objectives of the Course
The aim of this course is to understand the changes in economic, social and class structures of the Ottoman Empire and the Turkish Republic between 16th and 18th centuries.

The course includes the social and class structures of agricultural activities, taxes, industrial activities in urban areas, domestic and foreign commercial activities, credit activities, finance and individual wealth accumulation in the Ottoman Empire between the 16th and 18th centuries.
