Objectives of the Course
In the course, it is handled the political situation of the Balkans and Anatolia during the foundation period of the Ottoman State and the effect of this situation on the state’s establishment. In the second phase, it is discussed the conquests on Anatolia, Balkans, Mesopotamia and Arabia by the Ottomans. In the course, the activities in the Black Sea, Aegean, and Adriatic will be discussed.

1Genel kültür ve tarihe yardımcı bilimlerle ilgili, en güncel bilgileri içeren ders kitaplarını, uygulama araç - gereçlerini ve bilimsel kaynaklarla desteklenen üst düzey bilgi ve becerileri kullanma kabiliyetine sahiptir ve bu bilgi ve becerileri mesleğinde ve araştırmalarında kullanabilir.
2Tarih disiplini ile ilgili kavramları, fikirleri ve verileri, sosyal bilimler araştırma metotlarıyla inceler ve değerlendirir, gün yüzüne çıkmamış (henüz araştırılmamış) konuları tanılar, analiz eder ve tartışır, bunlarla ilgili bilimsel bulgular ve kanıtlara dayalı öneriler geliştirir.
3Tarih disiplini ile ilgili konularda uzman ya da bilgisi olmayan dinleyicileri bilgilendirir, onlara elde ettiği bulgularla ilgili düşüncelerini açık bir biçimde yazılı ve sözlü olarak ifade eder
4Tarih metodolojisini kullanarak, eleştirel düşünme, yaratıcı düşünme, yorumlama ve sentez yapma becerilerine sahiptir ve alanıyla ilgili çalışmaları bağımsız veya ortak çalışma olarak yürütebilir.
5Tarihi bilgi ve bulgu eksiklikleri nedeni ile henüz aydınlatılmamış konularda sorumluluk alır ve çözüm üretmeye çalışır.
6He has top level knowledge and ability supported by textbooks including current knowledge, practicing devices and instruments as well as the other scientific sources related with auxiliary sciences for history; he uses these knowledge and abilities in his career and researches
