Objectives of the Course |
The medical biology course is based on an approach to basic biological sciences, molecules, cell theory, structure and organelles, basic cellular mechanisms such as cell division, cellular life cycle, mutations and cell death. The concepts of DNA, gene, chromosome are discussed in detail and students are expected to master current scientific approaches such as epigenetic mechanisms and regulation of gene expression and to establish the link between cellular pathologies and genetics. |
