Objectives of the Course
Establishing the diagnosis and treatment plan for the rehabilitation of defective or missing parts in the jaw and face region due to surgical operations, trauma, pathological events, developmental or congenital disorders,and learning the clinical-laboratory procedures.

Learning Outcomes
1General definitions, puspose and classifications of maxillofacial prostheses should be know.
2Learn the etiology, classification, and prosthetic treatment options of cleft lip and palate.
3The purpose, construction techniques and the types of resection obturators should be know.
4Classification and treatment options of mandibular defects should be known.
5The clinical and laboratory materials and concept of retention in the maxillofacial prosthesis, should be known.

Course Contents
Learning the history, terminology and classification of maxillofacial prosthesis. Learning the congenital, developmental or acquired anomalies, lip and palate clefts, resection obturators, mandibular defects, radiotherapy prostheses which are related to the jaw face region. Concept of restraint in jaw face prosthesis and learning of used clinical and laboratory materials.
