Objectives of the Course
To evaluate protective and corrective orthodontic applications as a whole To learn the reasons of the orthodontic anomalies To recognize the duty of the dentist in preventing the formation of orthodontic anomalies To acquire insight into the techniques used in the treatment of orthodontic anomalies To understand the biomechanical principles of orthodontic treatment

Learning Outcomes
1He provides a differential diagnosis between conditions requiring preventive and interceptive treatment
2He describes conditions that require corrective orthodontic treatment
3Diagnoses malocclusion using orthodontic diagnostic tools
4They should have sufficient theoretical knowledge about retention applications used after the active orthodontic treatment
5Know the biomechanical principles that cause orthodontic tooth movement
6Knows the active and passive elements used in edgewise technique. Also he has enough knowledge about the treatment stages

Course Contents
Orthodontic use of diagnostic tools and treatment planning, treatment planning is the use of cephalometry, growth stage and orthodontic practices, Cleft lip and palate early treatment, preventive orthodontic approaches, interceptive orthodontic treatments, causes and treatment of bad habits, orthodontic tooth movements and forces, corrective orthodontic treatment, functional and fixed orthodontic treatment, temporomandibular joint and dental relationships, adult orthodontics, the importance of consolidating treatment, model analysis, implementation appliances on case Orthodontic terms of clinical and radiographic evaluation Dental and skeletal disorders and treatment Different treatment approaches based on skeletal changes and growth phase may occur with growth and development Protective, indications and contraindications of the stopper and corrective orthodontic treatment
