Objectives of the Course
Teaching the local anesthetic solutions used in dentistry and their properties, contents, duration of action and dosages. Teaching the definition of sedation, the aims sedation in children and mental retardeds, the techniques of sedation, the drugs that can be used for sedation and their dosages, Teaching the medical emergencies that can be occurred in patients in the dental office and prevention and management of these situations, Giving information to the dental students about the situtatins that they apply or not the techniques of the local anesthesia to their dental patients.

inroduction to anesthesia and neurophsyology, introduction to nervus trigeminus anatomy, nervus trigeminus and distrubution of its branches(n. Maxillaris and n .mandibularis), ester and amid local anaesthetics used in dentistry, topical anesthetics used in dentistry, vasoconstrictors used with local anaesthetics, indications of local anesthetics in dentistry, indications and contraindications of local anesthetics in dentistry, adminstration techniques of local anesthetic agents, adminstration techniques of topical and infiltration anesthesia and complications,mandibular regional anesthesia techniques and complications.
