1ÖÇ - 1 : Hücrenin temel özelliklerinin, yani hücresel düzeni, metabolizmayı, hücre yapısını hücre bölünmesini, büyüme ve gelişmeyi anlayabilecek
2ÖÇ - 2 : Kalıtımın moleküler temelini, DNA ve RNA’nın moleküler yapısını,aralarındaki farkları replikasyonunu ve protein sentezini anlayabilecek
3ÖÇ - 3 : Kalıtımın kromozomal temelini, anlayabilecek
4ÖÇ - 4 : Yukarıda bahsedilen konularla ilgili laboratuar deneyleri yapabilecek bilgi becerileri kazanabilecek
5LO - 1 : understand and describe the fundamental principles of Mendelian genetics
6LO - 2 : understand and describe the fundamental principles of Mendelian genetics
7LO - 3 : understand and describe the molecular basis for heredity, DNA structure and replication, and protein synthesis.

Concepts and methods in biology. Principles of cellular life. Chemical foundation, structure, function and energy of cells. Principles of inheritance: Cell division, chromosomes, human genetics, DNA, control over genes, recombinant DNA and genetic engineering. Evolution and diversity. The origin and evolution of life, organismal groups and their general functions.
