Objectives of the Course
To provide students background knowledge to enable them to analyze morphologic structure of a land, landscape design of which is being planned, to develop designing ideas appropriate to this structure, and to make necessary improvements in this site on the basis of the newly developed design ideas.

Learning Outcomes
1Reflecting the philosophy, item, principles and tools of Landscape Design in detailed landscape design process, using knowledge and competence as well. Gaining essential basis to be capable to reflect knowledge into the areas regarding nature, natural processes, characteristics and performances of some organic items in landscapes design, protection, maintenance and management studies.
2The ability of detecting, defining, formulating and resolving the engineering problems; the selection and application of appropriate analytical methods and modeling techniques. Know and comprehend of the functions of landscape ecology and principles and practics of ecological planning/ desingning and in landscape architecture implements.

Course Contents
Basic terms, land morphology- landscape design relationships, topographical maps, elevation curves, topographical profiles, introduction to land re-forming, land re-forming related with landscape design, re-forming in settlements, steep areas, terraces, sports areas and play grounds, sidewalks and roads, water bodies., land filling and excavation practices, land re-forming and designing practices in an existing or hypotethic area
