The main objective of this course is to teach the component and functions of landscape and restoration of terrestrial ecosystems according to management objectives.

Ecology and theory of restoration ecology, Disturbance and dynamics of succession in plant communities, Properties of riparian zones and their functions, Restoration of riparian areas, Effects of fire on ecosystem structure and functions, post-fire succession and restoration of fire disturbed ecosystems. Ecophysiological constraints and response of plant populations to ecosystem restoration , Arid-land Restoration, Mycorrhiza , Dynamics of plant communities and response of plant communities to restoration, Invasive species, their ecology and management, Sand dunes, their disturbance and succession dynamics and restoration of sand dunes, Functional restorations; topographic heterogeneity, trophic-web etc.
