Objectives of the Course
To introduce wetlands in the world. The live ecosystems of these bays are to emphasize the importance for environment and life. This derste also aims to explain the hazards that the major wetlands in the world face and the necessary precautions to take.

1It has knowledge of the importance of aquatic ecosystems and the aquatic ecosystem services.

4The conservation and management of the aquatic ecosystem will have an idea about the preparation of management plans based on this management.

Course Contents
Wet land definition, wetlands and why is it important, in the past in Turkey and the world today wetlands, the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, signatory countries, Turkey's situation in Europe and the Middle East in terms of wetlands, Turkey's internationally important wetlands areas, basic problems and solutions related to wetlands in Turkey, an ideal wetland management methods and sample plans.
