| Definition of aging. The history of the science of old age. Definitions of geriatrics and gerontology. The epidemiology of aging in Turkey and around the world. Theories of aging. Physiological and psycho-social changes due to aging. Factors that affect aging and old age. Te prevention of premature aging. problems in old age. Evaluation of the elderly. the general care of the elderly. old age and ethics. The importance of quality of life of older individuals. Geriatric emergencies. Common problems in old age. Healthy and active aging. Nutrition in old age. Old age of national and international policies. Concerning the elderly association of institutions, organizations and activities. Laws and regulations concerning the elderly in Turkey. |
