Dersin Amacı
It is aimed to learn the factors affecting the voltage and current quality in electrical installations, to learn the concepts of factors affecting energy quality, to measure how to make energy quality measurements and to determine the measures to be taken to increase energy quality and to learn applications.

Sinusoidal-non-sinusoidal waves, current-voltage relationship and distortion. Low voltage loads and their effects, Factors affecting power quality. Energy efficiency. Reactive power basic information and reactive energy regulation, Compensation system (determination of power capacitors, types of compensation). Reactive power control (reactive power control relay, thyristor compensation). Definition and emergence of harmonics, basic concepts about harmonics. Harmonic generating loads, effects of harmonics on electrical installations. Measurement of harmonics. Resonance effect of harmonics (Serial resonance frequency, parallel resonance prevention methods). Removal of harmonics, harmonic filters. Compensation in harmonic installations. Harmonic filter compensation. Laboratory applications
