Definition of navigation, the universe, solar system and Earth, the shape of the world, the equator, the poles, latitude, longitude, latitude and longitude differences. Tools used in navigation, General information about charts and other navigation documents, Marine charts projections, Properties of marine charts, Marcator projection marine charts. Distance and direction. The distance measure and calculate the distance on the , navigation and map. Rhumb line and great circle arc, Route and bearing, Navigation at sea Compasses, magnetic compass, compass reading, grade, and rhumb systems, The Earth's magnetic field, natural and artificial magnetic deviation. Structure of the magnetic compass, errors, corrections, Gyro compass, structure, function and errors, corrections, Finding Compass error and implementation of the route and bearing. Position lines and positions, Positioning methods at Coastal Navigation, Mathematical navigation Information obtained from maps, lantern, books and other publications Symbols and abbreviation on marine charts, Arrangement of charts and documents, Folio system.
