Objectives of the Course |
The purpose of this course is marked by different periods of newspapers and journalists, professional conditions, starting from legal arrangements; Multiparty era of the Ottoman Empire until the birth and development of the Turkish press, the social, political and cultural relations with the middle handle in today's journalism, culture and is thought to help explain the basics of the world |

Course Contents |
Course in the Ottoman Empire (in Turkey) and then printing will be given information regarding initial period of journalistic activities. Journalism delayed for nearly 200 years as seen from the West will focus on the reasons why. In this context, the rise of journalism in the West on the issue will be discussed briefly. The development process of journalism in Turkey, will be discussed within the historical periodization studies. In this context, the Tanzimat period, the Constitutional Period, 2nd Constitutional Monarchy, the Union and Progress Period, Armistice Period of the Republic and the first years of the Turkish press, the era's political, economic, socio-cultural, then the context accompaniment will be evaluated. Course coverage is limited to the period up to 1928 letters to the revolution. |
